About Us
The team at Babes in the Woods have a passion for providing children with different experiences and an alternative way of learning outside in nature. We believe Forest School has such a positive impact on children socially, physically, intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and builds on communication skills.

History
In 1993, a group of nursery nurses from Bridgewater went to visit pre-schools in Denmark. They were influenced by the largely outdoor child centred play based method and practice of teaching ( pedagogy ). They started their own Forest schools.
Following this research, we decided to try our own version of Forest School locally. After qualifying as Forest School Leaders and running sessions for nursery aged children for the past three and a half years, we formed our own Forest school business in January 2020.
We have also expanded and run parent and baby mindfulness classes, stay and play sessions and forest adventure parties to suit the needs of your child. We are based at the nature reserve at Drayton Manor.
